Hainan Yangpu Economic Development Zone Site Formation,
Roads & Drainage, Water & Sewage Works (1993-1998) $915M

 

This infrastructure project is the largest being undertaken by a private developer in China. A 30 sq km area at the north-western tip of Hainan province is being developed into an industrial park to accommodate heavy, light and tertiary industries. Kumagai is the main contractor for the whole project, which is divided into several phases. Phase I development includes a number of contracts for site formation, construction of roads and drainage, water works and sewerage works.

Guilin Biya Expressway (2004-2007)

 

The Guilin Toll Road is a part of the Cross-Border State Highway between Ning Chuan and San Tang via Guilin Municipality, with an aggregate completed length of approximately 40.6 kilometres. Due to the stated policy of the Central Government of the PRC to develop the North-Western Region thus the Guilin Toll Road will be a pivotal link to the expressway network in the South-western Region.
